About

Having a background in quality development and project management and with numerous house renovations under my belt over the years, it wasn't much of a surprise that I decided to re-train as an Interior Designer, when attention to detail and creativity is key!

Being English and moving to France with just GCE French to help me, I became a bit stuck!  So changing tac, I launched and ran a retail home decoration business aimed at the ex-pat and Anglo loving international market for the next 7 years.  Moving then to Brussels I had the courage to undertake a 3 year Interior Design qualification at the prestigious London based KLC School of Design.

I am lucky enough to now live and work in the south of Brussels, with contacts also within the UK, France and Malta.  I like to create a relaxed but elegant aesthetic in a home, featuring objects that tell a story unique to one's life, of places visited and well-loved family pieces.

I strive to provide practical, sympathetic and stylish solutions tailored to specific needs and budgets.  With a friendly, relaxed and down to earth approach to my work, I am particularly inspired by nature and treasured possessions, drawn towards enduring and timeless designs with sustainability at the forefront  - effortless and comfortable, mixing the old with the new.

A little about my style

I am drawn towards eclectic but elegant designs and have a love of mixing favourite pieces with modern additions for an ultimately timeless, seemingly effortless and comfortable home.  I do of course adapt my designs to my clients' individual tastes and requirements.

Perhaps...

  • you really are at a loss when it comes to interiors but want to make your place a home.

  • you've saved all your ideas from Instagram, Pinterest and magazines but not sure how to make it all happen.

  • you just can't decide, there's too much choice.

  • you're tired after work and need someone to lean on to get the project done.

  • you've looked at your home for so long but you can't see the wood for the trees!

  • you need to sell your home and want to style it so it looks it's best.

  • you realise that Interior Design is very time consuming and detailed and don't want to make costly mistakes.

...I can help you.

“Claire really helped us when we were reflecting on the plan of our future kitchen. We needed to make sure the space worked for us as a family as we have an adult disabled son. Claire helped us conceptualise the options we had through her different ideas, 3D modelling and discussions and we are now really happy with the outcome which will provide us with a lot of cupboard and ergonomic prep space."

Gillian, Somerset UK

"The prospect of re-designing my new home in the English countryside was daunting and I asked Claire for help creating schemes, furnishing and fabric sourcing.  After discussing the look and feel of the space she gave me much needed direction with plans to re-think my rooms and excellent ideas for paint colour and complimentary curtain fabrics.  She also provided ideas on how to update our kitchen without spending a lot of money in order to create a more modern and cleaner look.  I have no hesitation in recommending Claire. I have complete confidence in her taste and style which she adapted to my preferences and requirements."

Sophie, Brussels BE

“I had found lots of colours I liked but  got invaluable help from Claire when I had to make quick decisions on painting my entire house.  Her creative eye and relaxed but thorough approach gave me the confidence I needed to make up my mind on the spot and I've been really pleased with the results since.”
